Over the Hochtannberg Pass in about 30 minutes: Warth-Schröcken is one of the snowiest ski areas in Europe and is part of the Ski Arlberg region.
Overview
Warth-Schröcken is located at the upper end of the Bregenzerwald, just behind the Hochtannberg Pass. From our apartment, drive on the L200 through Schröcken to Warth, about 30 minutes to the valley station of the Steffisalp Express. The day parking spaces at Steffisalp, Jägeralp, and Salober are free in winter.
With plenty of natural snow, Warth-Schröcken is one of the snowiest ski areas in Europe, and the season runs from December to spring. Through the Auenfeldjet, the area is connected with Lech Zürs and is therefore part of Ski Arlberg, with around 300 kilometers of pistes and 85 cable cars and lifts.
For those who want to venture off-piste, there are over 200 kilometers of variant descents. For families, there are two children's areas: the Salober Kinderland directly at the Salober valley station with four conveyor belts and a ski carousel, as well as Pauli's Kinderland in Warth.
