The Schubertiade annually attracts audiences from all over the world to Schwarzenberg. From Schoppernau, you can be there in half an hour and still stay peaceful.
Overview
Schwarzenberg is a village in the Bregenz Forest, and that is precisely what makes the Schubertiade special: Chamber music and song evenings at an international level in the Angelika Kauffmann Hall, a wooden structure with 600 seats, but without the hustle and bustle of a big city around it.
From Schoppernau, it takes about 30 minutes by car through the valley. The Schubertiade shuttle bus is more convenient, departing from the Schoppernau municipal office in good time before the concerts and returning after the final applause.
During festival days, accommodations in Schwarzenberg and surrounding areas are quickly booked up. You can often still find something in the rear Bregenz Forest, and you stay more peacefully.
In 2027, the Schubertiade will play in Schwarzenberg from June 16 to 22 and from August 25 to 31. Further concerts take place in spring, July, and autumn in Hohenems.
